Ribbon Cutting for David Grant USAF Medical Center Phase III

The 60th Medical Group celebrated the completion of the third phase of the multi-departmental hospital modernization project at David Grant USAF Medical Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Hosted by Col. Michael Higgins, the Medical Group’s commander, with more than four dozen personnel and the project’s representatives, including United Excel and Mill Creek.  He congratulated our team on “cleanliness, safety and consideration to their patients on this world class facility.”

The renovation work started in spring 2014, with Labor and Delivery, Operating Room Administrative and Support Services, Mental Health Clinic and Education and Training departments being the first areas to see the $140 million in extensive healthcare design improvements.

“This has been a very long journey for us,” said Mark Benne, our project manager for the project. “We have enjoyed and appreciated working out here at David Grant Medical Center.”

Congrats to all involved on this project! It’s been an honor.
