United Excel Announces New Ownership

United Excel is pleased to announce the transfer of company ownership to Kevin Rogers. United Excel will retain its name, staff and full book of business. Kevin will remain CEO as well; all other employees will continue in their current roles.

Rogers started his career at United Excel in 1999 as a carpenter, working his way up to Superintendent, Project Manager, then returning in 2015 as President. Earlier this year United Excel brought on Dennis Burns as President, promoting Rogers to CEO. Since then the team has gained traction back in the local Kansas City market with projects at Shawnee Mission Health, University of Missouri – Kansas City, and with Pareto Captive Services.

Founded in 1994, United Excel is approaching 25 years as a local contracting specialist gaining a reputation for their commitment to quality and timeliness. The announcement promises exciting changes for the company, including moving state lines to the east later this spring.

“The buyout is a significant milestone in our continuing evolution as a company,” said Rogers. “Our leadership is committed to growth and innovation, and our new structure will enable United Excel to continue to expand our services to our clients and teaming partners. I am honored and proud of my team and what we have and will continue to accomplish in Kansas City.”
