United Excel Attends Arkansas Regional Industry Days Forum

At United Excel, we believe it is important to support small businesses. As such, we recently attended the Arkansas Regional Industry Days Forum.

Held at the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub in Little Rock, AR, the event provided industry the opportunity to network with government agencies as well as other contractors. In particular, qualified small businesses were able to match with large businesses.

The interactive two-day event featured previews of upcoming business and contracting opportunities, government acquisition forecast briefs, and training courses on important government contracting topics. Contractors also had the opportunity to present their capabilities to the government and converse directly with different government agencies on important contracting topics, upcoming requirements and agency needs.

Companies representing a broad spectrum of industries attended the event, including, but not limited to, supplies and services, construction, initial outfitting, architecture and engineering.

“The event had a great turnout,” said Ali Tweel, Director of Government Pursuits, United Excel. “We enjoyed the opportunity to not only meet new potential small business partners, but also to reconnect with our government customers.”

Numerous government agencies participated in the event, including the US Army Corp of Engineers (Little Rock District, Ft. Worth District, Memphis District, Vicksburg District, and Kansas City District), Little Rock Air Force Base, Department of Veteran Affairs, Arkansas Army National Guard, National Park Service, Small Business Administration, General Services Administration and USDA Forest Service.

The SAME Arkansas Post also hosted a Networking Icebreaker, providing further opportunities for small/large business networking.
